We (MFD Marketing Ltd.) are the "controller" of PII that is collected and used for the purposes of this policy. We are responsible for deciding the purposes and ensuring that your PII is handled safely and meets legal requirements.

The PII we collect and when we collect it

We collect first name, email address, name of your business, your business’ website and social media URLs when you subscribe to receive MFD Marketing's emails, for the purpose of completing your free Social and Web Audit and sending you emails from MFD Marketing.

We collect first name, email address, nature of your business and credit/debit card details when you make a purchase from MFD Marketing Ltd. This includes purchasing our digital guides and completing payment for a 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call.

We collect first name, email address and any voluntary context and website and social media profile URLs you provide about your business when you schedule a discovery call with MFD Marketing Ltd. via our Discovery Call request form or a 1:1 Power Hour Strategy call. This is for the purpose of research in order to be able to prepare ahead of time to ensure that we provide value on the call.

Purposes for collecting the PII

·       Policy update notifications - We may send emails to our mailing list to inform you whenever we update any of our terms and conditions, policies and/or legal wordings. We are required to do this by law.

·       Email subscription - We send monthly newsletter emails to our mailing list to provide recent industry news, trends, promotions of our products and tips we hope our audience find useful.

·       Email marketing - We send targeted emails to promote related products after you purchase a product from this site and/or book a service with us.

·       Processing payments - We use your personal and payment information to process your payment/s for any product/s you purchase from our site and/or services you choose to book with us.

·       Promotional material - We use reviews on our products that you provide as part of our promotional material. We do not include your name in your review unless you specifically tell us in writing that you give your consent for us to do this.

·       Sending an updated copy of a digital product - We may email you a copy of a revised version of a product that you have previously purchased as a courtesy if it has undergone significant changes for improvement based on feedback.

·       Booking a discovery call or 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call - We use your email address in order to schedule and send an invitation to you for a discovery call with us.

·       Fulfilling a discovery call or 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call - We use your name and email address in order to fulfil a discovery call with you and send follow up email/s where required. We use any hyperlinks you provided in your request form in order to learn about your business to be able to provide the most value to you in your discovery call.

Any information that you share with us during your discovery call or 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call is treated with confidentiality, meaning that we will not share any information you give us unless you specifically tell us in writing that you give your consent for us to do this. Any notes or call recordings are stored in a secure location accessible only by us.

·       Contact for follow-up after a discovery call - We may use your name, phone number and email address for the purpose of following up with you with the objective of producing a quote for work.

Your PII is not sold, reproduced or passed to any third party other than our payment services and video conferencing partners named below.

We will only ever share your PII if and when we are specifically requested to by law.

Security

We take all reasonable measures possible to secure your PII. This includes on physical devices and multiple-factor authentication on business accounts.

Marketing

We provide our website visitors with the opportunity to sign up to an email mailing list via an opt-in form.

We specify clearly during the checkout process for all of our digital products that customers are also automatically added to the mailing list for marketing purposes such as product promotions, recommendations and general news and updates.

Service providers

·       Website, contact form and eCommerce partner - We use Squarespace as our website platform and eCommerce partner. We share your name, email address, any written context and URLs you choose to share for your business, discount codes and card details to allow them to facilitate:

  1. The submission of a form to ask any questions to us via email

  2. The submission of a form to join our email marketing list

  3. The partial or full completion of a checkout process on our website, including the use of discount codes and submitting card details for our payment services partner Stripe (see further below)

  4. The fulfilment of digital product delivery to you via email, to the email address that you provided during the checkout process

They use this PII to allow MFD Marketing Ltd. to identify you from emailed form responses and to complete checkout and post-purchase product fulfilment.

  • Client Relationship Management (CRM), appointment scheduling and invoicing partner - We use Dubsado as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), appointment scheduling and invoicing partner to manage relationships and workflows with our clients. We share your name, email address, availability entered into schedulers and any written content and URLs you choose to share for your business in forms to allow them to facilitate:

  1. The submission of a form to give us context about your business upfront for a free discovery call

  2. The scheduling of a free discovery call with us

  3. The submission of a form to give us context about your business upfront for a 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call

  4. The facilitation of payment for the session fee for a 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call (via our payment services partner Stripe. See below)

  5. The scheduling of a 1:1 Power Hour Strategy Call with us (via an

We share your name, email address and payment details to allow them to facilitate payments for purchases you make from us via the eCommerce module on our website, www.mfdmarketing.com, and/or sending you a direct payment link to pay for one-off and/or ongoing services with us.

They use this PII to send you automated receipt email/s for your purchase/s from us and/or to link and confirm your payment on screen.

·       Payment services partner - We use Monzo Business as one of our payment services partners. We share your name, email address and payment details to allow them to facilitate payments for sending you a direct payment link to pay for one-off and/or ongoing services with us.

·       Email fulfilment and integrations partner – We use Flodesk as our email marketing platform and the provider of our email subscription opt-in form. We share your name and email address to be able to send single and/or sequential emails.

They use this PII to allocate you into audience segments based on your purchase history and/or form subscriptions, deliver the emails to you and/or to identify you to fulfil your email unsubscription request, should you make one.

Data protection and GDPR compliance with the ICO

MFD Marketing Ltd. is actively registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent regulator for data protection.
